Kitty Kasas from Shark Tank

Kitty Kasas has a compelling backstory. Nikki Linn, the co-founder of Kitty Kasas, used to own a Radio Station. So, when the radio station was sold in 1999, Nikki and Rusty converted the underground space into an animal refuge. However, she was forced to find a new location. Using her savings, she established ARNI, the Animal Rescue Need and Intervention charity.

Kitty Kasas is the outcome of Linn’s inability to put her love of animals on hold despite being a co-owner of a radio station. Kitty Kasas’s foundation was a necessity for the animals of ARNI.

The Kitty Kasas is a polyethylene cube with dimensions of approximately 15 x 15 x 11 inches. The boxes are simple to clean and suitable for outdoor and indoor use. You may combine the boxes to create a unique arrangement for your cat because each one offers something unique.

Kitty Kasas, the portable, waterproof, modular cat shelters, have generated $600,000 in revenue over the previous two years. Due to the perceived margins, the business could’ve been more lucrative. Still, they had a problem with a foreign supplier who intended to update the plastic production technique and then wound up duplicating their design and failing to fulfill the commitment.

They had filed a lawsuit, replaced most of their production molds, and were now prepared to resume commercial operations. They were looking for a business partner to help them with such challenges and invest money in the firm so they could recruit more people to help with sales and promotional tasks. Two of their top goals were to revamp their website and expand their online presence.

Nikki Linn and Rusty Niedwick, the owners of Kitty Kasas, presented their pet company on Shark Tank in 2019. The tattooed business partners entered the Tank on a motorbike, making quite the spectacle while wearing black trademark work shirts!

They entered the Tank hoping to receive a $200,000 investment for 20% ownership. Kevin O’Leary and Lori Greiner both made proposals to Kitty Kasas. They took Lori’s offer of $200,000 in exchange for 30% equity.

Kitty Kasas has introduced a brand-new product called the Siesta after its appearance on Shark Tank. It’s a cat cot that may be suspended from a string or chain from the roof or can be placed on a stand in different shapes, including gumdrop, raindrop, or teardrop.

Both the company’s website ( and Amazon sell Kitty Kasas online. It’s also available at Walmart’s retail location.

Our Review of Kitty Kasas

Kitty Kasas is not your typical cat condo since the business backs its product with a lifetime warranty as they believe it is nearly indestructible.

Kitty Kasas are cat cottages in the shape of cubes you may pile to create unique Cat Condo designs. Kitty Kasas Cubes are offered in two Lines (Duro and Standard Snap-On), come in various attractive colors, and now feature easier installation and robust construction.

The Cat Bedroom Cube is composed of low-density polyethylene plastic, both sturdy and non-toxic! Each cube from the classic collection has 15.25″ x 12″ x 16.5″ dimensions and may be deployed outdoors or indoors. The Kitty Kasa Bedroom Box comes with plush cat bedding with a detachable and washable cover.

Combining the Bedroom Cube with other pieces from the Standard Snap-On Collection will elevate the look. All three pieces-the, Recreation Cube, “Penthaus” top seat including pillow, and Gym Cube-can be stacked and are interchangeable.

The Standard collection’s items are all flat-packed and quick to install. You can effortlessly snap together the assembled cubes for a unique Cat Condo that is perfect for your cat. Its maintenance is straightforward; you can clean any Kitty Kasa by wiping it thoroughly with water and soap.

Whichever place you decide to put your kitty friend will depend on your preference; you will discover that they stack easily and blend in with any existing décor thanks to their neutral, furniture-like tones.

Finally, each cube or outdoor building is simple to periodically clean and disinfect.

Our Final Thought

Kitty Kasas made quite an impression after their appearance on Shark Tank. However, the agreement with Lori does not appear to have been completed since it is not featured on her Shark Tank page. Nikki and Rusty may not have grabbed the deal, but they bagged the limelight they deserved. Later, the couple signed an agreement with Petco and introduced Kitty Kasas on Amazon.

However, Nikki and her husband no longer control Kitty Kasas as of 2022. A few months after making an appearance on Shark Tank, the business was purchased by Streetsboro, Ohio-based Jolly Pets, a maker of pet toys, for an unknown sum.

Their cat houses are still in demand. If you become a customer, too, you will support their Shelter Redo Program and possibly save thousands of other cats in kitty shelters living a not-so-luxurious life as our pets.
